Soccer: Round 1-BHAYANKARS vs Red Devils

Sports month was supposed to start with VolleyBall match but God of rain made sure that it starts with Soccer. BHAYANKARS (led by Virender) defeated Red Devils(led by Joan Pradeep) by 3 -1. But match was never onesided as the scoreline suggests.

Match was delayed for some time due to the ball issue.Officials took their time to decide which ball to use during the game. It was a dream start for BHAYANKARS when they got first penalty kick within 10 minutes of play. Saugata took the penalty and he was dead accurate in his shot. The ball kissed the net and the score board read 1-0. Red Devils was stunned, they were trying to come out of it by playing some attacking soccer but unfortunately they conceded one more penalty and Saugata was right on target again. What a striker Saugata is! He looked so calm and composed while taking penalty and he made it look so easy. Score read 2-0 and Joan 11 was under real pressure.

But from here Joan 11 played beautiful soccer with Joan holding the front in the mid field and Rajesh Dimri taking the charge as center forward.With Deepak rawat , these two made a deadly combination. They made so many moves on the opposite goal but could not beat a single man named Virender. Virender again proved why he is known as giant goalkeeper in soccer. He proved to be a wall for Jaon11. When Joan 11 were on the offensive, Yunus Hameed from BHAYANKARS took full advantage of the loopholes of the opposition defence and scored the third goal and score was 3-0. Game was almost over for Red Devils. Rajesh Dimri scored the consoling goal for Red Devils in the second half.

It was a well fought match to start the sports month.It has set the tone for rest of the sports month. Be prepared to catch up the action here on blog if you are not able to make it to the field as spectator.
